Crazy Like a Fox

First and foremost, please allow me to apologize for posting another article on Trevor Bauer. Hopefully, it will be my last on the … well, you know. But this one is both noteworthy and significant.

On January 9, 2023, MLB Network‘s (and New York Post columnist) Jon Heyman posted this on Twitter:

Say what you will about Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman, but he is absolutely, positively, one hundred percent “Crazy like a fox,” as they say.

Friedman continues to prove why he is considered among the best in the business.

Gonna have to be a magician to get something for Bauer.

I agree it’ll take a magician. But if anyone can do it it’ll be Friedman.

IF he pulls it off everyone will be astonished and then next off season they will again question if he knows what he’s doing. Must be tough to be him and mostly never get his due from fans.

Dodgers just aquired Miguel Rojas from the marlins

    • OhioDodger says:

Could have just signed Jose Iglesias and kept Amaya. Seems we gave up a lot for one year of Rojas. Definitely going to have to trade one or both of Taylor, Muncy to get under the CBT.

Head-scratcher move for sure. If you are going to take on that amount of money the team should have added another piece (Trayce Thompson?) and obtained Joey Wendle instead. Has to be more coming as this is a glove first (an excellent glove for sure) but a career well below average offensive player.

Rojas just a solid bench player along the lines of Alberto.
