San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado is being heckled by a Dodgers fan during a game at Dodger Stadium. Machado shoots off his mouth, saying; “I’ll bet you my contract, we’ll [Padres] win the World Series before you guys [Dodgers] do.”

Twenty-four-year-old Dodgers left-hander Julio Urías throws a 97-mph fastball past Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Willy Adames for a called third strike, securing the Dodgers seventh World Championship and the first in 32 years.
Time to pay up Machado!
Oh, I know that you were engaging in over-the-top hyperbole with the Dodger fan; neither of you would make a $300 million wager. But are you man enough to eat some well deserved crow?
How about a Twitter or Instagram post congratulating the Dodgers for winning the 2020 World Series — World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers?

Machado is a self absorbed prima donna a$$hole.
He didn,t so jack when we traded for him. He basically sucked.
Thankfully our management saw through his petty veneer and spent the money much more wisely on Mookie.
You gotta stop holding back! 🙂 I had great expectations when the Dodgers acquired Machado, but was quickly disillusioned with his indifferent, and at times lazy play. I am so thankful that Mookie Betts is a Dodger and Machado is not.
I actually thought about this until we finally won. I guess he was wrong.
So am I.
Mookie is an Ambassador
Machado is an embarrassment!
We would have a fractured clubhouse with Machado.
Mookie Betts’ attitude is positive and infectious!

Preaching to the choir! I knew Betts was good, but until you watch him every day, and see how he interacts with his teammates (and at times opposing players) you cannot fully appreciate the impact this young man has on the team. Stats do not come close to quantifying the value of Mookie Betts — he makes the Dodgers much better than the sum of the parts!
