There Are No Words

The entire staff at ThinkBlue LA sends our sincerest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the family, friends, and colleagues of Kobe and Gianna Bryant; John, Keri, and Allyssa Altobelli; Christina Mauser; Sarah and Payton Chester; and pilot Ara Zobayan, who were killed in Sunday’s horrific helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

There simply are no words.

    Life periodically absolutely shocks us to remind tomorrow is guaranteed to NO ONE.

    There were so many chapters left to write in the lives of all these people that will now never be known.

    Such a terrible tragedy.

    John Altobelli sounds very familiar to me, but I can’t place why. I read he was a college baseball coach but I’ve never kept up on college baseball.
    Did he ever have a connection to MLB, maybe a scout or MiLB manager?
    I’m assuming that if he ever had a connection to our Dodgers you would have mentioned it by now.

      When I first heard the name John Altobelli associated with this horrific incident, my very first thought was of former San Francisco Giants (1977-79), Baltimore Orioles 1983-85), and Chicago Cubs (1991) manager Joe Altobelli, but apparently they are not related.

      Might that be it (as it was for me)?
