Puig to shave head in support of young cancer patients

Just when you thought you’ve seen and heard everything there is to see and hear about Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, the popular 27-year-old Cienfuegos, Cuba native goes out and does something else to rip your heart out and make you love him even more.

On Thursday evening, the guy who has already done so much for young Dodger fans, especially those battling cancer, will have his head shaved as a show of solidarity with young cancer patients currently undergoing treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The event, which is part of the on-going Dodgers Community Tour taking place this week throughout the greater Los Angeles area, will be held on the Club Level at Dodger Stadium from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.

As most Dodger fans know, Puig has already been very active during the week-long Dodgers Community Tour, including the California Wildfires First Responders Luncheon and Batting Practice event on Monday and the Dodgers at McDonald’s event on Tuesday.

Thursday’s Shave Party for Childhood Cancer Awareness is open to everyone and it figures to offer quite a few laughs, especially for youngsters who have been dealt a tough hand in their young lives.

God Bless You, Yasiel.

…and thank you.
