Dodgers to host ‘Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball’ at Camelback Ranch

The Dodgers have announced that they will be hosting their third season of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball for more than 200 students from community organizations across Glendale, AZ. Selected kids will participate in an all-inclusive Spring Training game day experience at Camelback Ranch-Glendale March 19-21. Following Monday’s 1:05 p.m. game, the Dodgers will also lead a baseball clinic for students.

Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball will provide Glendale-area students with transportation to and from each game on charter buses, game-day tickets and a boxed lunch. Students will also receive a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt, Dodger hat and each group will be recognized during the game. Charter buses will be provided courtesy of Total Transit, Inc. and boxed lunches are courtesy of Delaware North Sportservice.

On Saturday, approximately 50 youth from the City of Glendale will attend the 1:05 p.m. game (White Sox vs. Dodgers), and Sunday, March 20, approximately 50 children also from the City of Glendale will attend the 1:05 p.m. game (Dodgers vs. Padres). Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball will play host to 50 children from Heritage Elementary School in Glendale Monday and the group will attend the 1:05 p.m. game at Camelback Ranch-Glendale (Dodgers vs. Mariners). Following the game, Dodger minor leaguers will lead a baseball clinic to include drills in baserunning, fielding and hitting for 50 youth from the after school program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix (Glendale’s Swift Branch location).

Now in its third season, Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, a community-outreach program, will invite 20,000 students to participate in an all-inclusive regular-season game experience which includes tickets, transportation to and from Dodger Stadium, food and a T-shirt. Each group is also welcomed in-game on Dodger Vision. Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball serves Los Angeles region schools, youth centers and nonprofit organizations that impact underserved communities and families.

Last year, the Dodgers inaugurated Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball during Spring Training at Camelback Ranch-Glendale, playing host to 100 children and their families. The Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball program in Arizona also featured a baseball clinic with Dodger players.

Each Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball group is pre-selected and chosen through an application process. Groups interested in being considered for the Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball program can apply online at www.dodgers.com/K4DB.
