Dodgers Select-A-Seat and FanFest dates set

Just as they have done for the past six years, the Dodgers will once again host their annual ‘Select-A-Seat’ event on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 29, 30 and 31 at Dodger Stadium.

The Select-A-Seat event allows current season ticket holders the opportunity to upgrade their season seat locations based on seat availability from former season ticket holders who haven’t renewed their season seats by the January 10 deadline. Current season ticket holders will be notified by mail and/or email of their scheduled Select-A-Seat appointment dates and times. Appointments are based on season ticket tenure.

“I don’t have any plans to change my (season) seats,” says 18-year season ticket holder David Baltazar of Long Beach. “But you just never know when something better might become available. I haven’t missed a Select-A-Seat event yet and always look forward to my first Dodger Dog of the New Year.”

“Select-A-Seat is not just about upgrading your seats, it’s about seeing old friends and fellow Dodger fans,” says Armando Carrasco of Canoga Park, a three-year season ticket holder. “I also like the free Dodger Dogs and checking out Larry King’s (Dugout Club) seats.”

In addition to the Select-A-Seat event, the Dodgers will host their second annual ‘Open House and FanFest’ on Saturday, February 1, with the exact times and itinerary yet to be determined. The Open House allows fans considering purchasing season tickets the opportunity to see what’s available, with plenty of sales representatives on hand to answer any questions they might have.

Last January the Dodgers held their first-ever Open House and FanFest event at Dodger Stadium and were absolutely overwhelmed by the estimated 20,000 fans that showed up.

“We had no idea we were going to have that many people show up for FanFest last year,” said Dodgers Season Sales Manager David Kirkpatrick. “We will definitely be better prepared this year.”

Speaking of last year, prior to opening day 2013, Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten increased the season ticket limit to 31,000 – all of which sold out. As such, Dodger fans interested in purchasing season tickets for 2014 are encouraged to beat the rush by calling the Dodgers season ticket sales office at 323-DODGERS. (323-363-4377).
