If enough people bring radios to Dodger Stadium it will be reminiscent of my childhood days when you could hear Vin calling the game throughout the entire ball park – it was GREAT!

I love the idea of that Ron, but there’s a seven second delay in play with today’s radio. That will probably cause a lot of confusion at the ballpark today. The delay wasn’t in play years ago when everyone had Vinny on their transistor radios years ago.

      • Ron Cervenka says:

The delay is less than a half second. I know this because I listen to Vin (and then Rick & Charlie) when I’m in the press box.

Now the delay on MLB.TV (which is not blacked out in the PB) is another story. The delay is sometimes up to a minute, which is great for viewing replays.

    Love Vinny

I know this might fly in the face of tradition, but if you think about it, it really isn’t; what about having all three announcers together at the same time? It’s the way Vin used to do all of his other postseason games, especially with the networks.

Scully could do the announcing, with Charlie Steiner providing color, and Rick Monday doing analysis. It would be a good combo in my opinion.
