As Dodgers fans slowly recover from their beloved teams’ devastating loss to the San Diego Padres in the National League West Division Series, several Dodgers players have reached out to fans on social media expressing both their sorrow and even more so their gratitude towards their loyal followers.
On Tuesday morning, this post by Dodgers third baseman/designated hitter, and unofficial team captain Justin Turner surfaced on social media (Instagram):

Although some may blow this off as little more than an attempt to say: ‘Thanks for playing (and paying),’ anyone who has spent any time around the 37-year-old Long Beach, CA native – who grew up a Dodger fan – knows that it is very heartfelt and undoubtedly difficult for him to write. And while it obviously doesn’t change a thing in the end, it’s hard not to say: “Thanks, JT. We needed that.”
