Garvey to share grilling tips with fans on Friday evening

Dodger great Steve Garvey will be inducted into the Legends of Dodger Baseball on Saturday night, but before receiving that honor, the former MVP first baseman will be taking time to provide Dodger fans with grilling tips and samples at the King’s Hawaiian Grill in the Left Field Plaza on Friday evening.

Dodger fans can take advantage of some grilling tips and samples from Garvey at the King’s Hawaiian Grill at Dodger Stadium on Friday, May 31 prior to the series opener with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Dodgers and  King’s Hawaiian continues its popular “Grilling with The Garv” series at 6 p.m. prior to the 7:10 p.m. game.  It also marks the only appearance of the Phillies at Dodger Stadium this season.

The event will be held at the King’s Hawaiian Grill in the left field plaza and feature Dodger great Steve Garvey helping to grill up samples of the game’s delicious BBQ specialty item, as well as provide Dodger fans with tips on how to take their summer grill-outs to the next level. Garvey will also be taking photos and signing autographs for fans at the event leading up to the 7:10 p.m. first pitch.

Garvey will become the second Dodger honored in the Legends of Dodger Baseball on Saturday night at 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7:10 p.m. game with the Phillies. It’s Alumni Weekend with former Dodgers participating in a two-inning game following introductions at 5 p.m. Garvey will join the late Don Newcombe in the Legends of Dodger Baseball. Fernando Valenzuela will be the third honoree later this season.
