The Dodgers will host Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary) of the 2018 World Series against the Boston Red Sox on Friday (5:09 p.m. PT), Saturday (5:09 p.m. PT), and Sunday (5:15 p.m. PT), with the Red Sox holding a 2-0 advantage over the Dodgers.
Parking and Stadium gates will open three hours prior to first pitch and fans are encouraged to arrive early, while also urged to purchase parking in advance, carpool, or enjoy a ride with Uber, the preferred ride of the Dodgers.
The Dodger Stadium Express will continue to operate during the Series from both Union Station and the South Bay, with service starting two hours before the game and is free for everyone with a game ticket. Advance parking can be purchased at Dodgers.com/parking ($40 in advance / $60 at the gate). Additional information on transportation options can be found at Dodgers.com/transportation.
Television coverage will be on Fox, with radio broadcasts on AM 570 Sports LA and ESPN Radio. The Spanish radio broadcast will be carried on KTNQ AM 1020.
Friday’s National Anthem will be performed by award-winning country music star Brad Paisley, with the ceremonial first pitch being thrown out by what the Dodgers are calling “a Dodgers World Series hero.” There is also a military flyover schedule prior to Friday’s game.
Saturday’s National Anthem will be performed by noted singer/songwriter Ryan Tedder.
Play Ball!
Just a reminder:
Three of the six World Series the Dodgers have won they were exactly in this situation, going home down 0-2. In ’65 the losing pitchers in those first two games were Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax. It’s far from over.
“a Dodgers World Series hero” should be Sandy, the only member of two of those three teams (though he didn’t pitch in the ’55 WS).
Gibby?
That seems likely. They have enough available to cover all three games.
Should have got Debby Gibson for the National Anthem if she still sings.
OK, who was it? I’m through the seventh inning now, mlb.com started the broadcast too late and it hasn’t been mentioned. I know Sandy’s there.
What a thrill for Walker to get a standing O from Sandy Koufax.
I’ll get started on the rest of the game in a couple hours.
Thought I deleted this.
