Just when it appears as though all is lost for the 2018 Dodgers, leave it to a former major league manager to talk Dodger fans off the ledge; this in spite of the fact that they and their beloved team woke up on Thursday morning officially in last place in the National League West.
Although it was (very) late when he did so and probably went unseen by many, former Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers manager and current Dodgers analyst Kevin Kennedy posted this early Thursday morning which, quite frankly, is both believable and doable for Dave Roberts‘ seemingly hopeless Dodgers team:
As most Dodger fans know, Kennedy is affectionately known around the Ravine and on the air as “Skip” because of his aforementioned big league managerial experience. There is only cold, hard facts that are always … always well researched and well thought out.
While Messrs. Pedro Baez, JT Chargois, Daniel Hudson, Scott Alexander, and the rest of the beleaguered Dodgers bullpen tend to break the ever-loving hearts of Dodgers fans around the world almost nightly, leave it to Kennedy to give us a “Thanks… I needed that” slap in the face to bring us back to reality.
And, of course, there’s also this little tidbit:
Thanks Skip … We definitely needed that
Kennedy would look great in the Dodgers’ dugout in place of Geren
