Dodgers to host Veterans Day Batting Practice

The Dodgers will host approximately 300 pre-selected active duty service members and veterans from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard and their families for batting practice at Dodger Stadium on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day.

Dodgers alumni Ron Cey, Manny Mota, Billy Ashley and Dennis Powell, and the Dodgers Bobblehead character will be on hand at Saturday’s event, where service members will have the opportunity to take batting practice on the field as well as enjoy a behind-the-scenes Dodger Stadium tour.

Service members will receive family photos courtesy of Blue Prints, a Dodgers Veterans Day T-shirt and lunch in the Lexus Dugout Club. They will also be among the first to see the Dodgers 2017 National League Championship trophy, which will be on display for photo opportunities.

Veterans Day Batting Practice at Dodger Stadium schedule:

  • 11:00 a.m.                               Check-in
  • 11:30 a.m.                               Welcome and introductions
  • 11:55 a.m.                               National anthem
  • 12:00 p.m.                              Batting practice/Stadium tours begin
  • 3:30 p.m.                                Program ends
