Although Hernandez ended the regular season with a rather dismal slash-line of .190 / .283 / .324 for an OPS of .607, he hit seven home runs on the season, of which five were off of lefties. One of those was off of Cubs left-hander and NLCS Game-1 starter Jon Lester back on June 1 in an eventual 2-1 Dodgers loss at Wrigley Field.

Wood appeared in 14 games for the Dodgers during the regular season (10 starts), posting a 1-4 record and 3.73 earned run average. He struck out 66 and walked 20 while allowing five home runs in his 60.1 innings of work. Although primarily a starting pitcher, Wood figures to be used exclusively as a reliever in the best-of-seven Championship Series.
