The Dodgers have played 33 games thus far into the 2024 regular season. Twenty-three-year-old La Habana, Cuba native Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages has appeared in 14 of them and is 16-for-55 (.291), with five doubles and three home runs, which ranks seventh and sixth on the team respectively. He has also driven in 10 runs and scored 12, which ranks seventh on the team in both categories.
In the simplest of terms, Andy Pages is the real deal and is here to stay. (Sorry, Triple-A OKC [not sorry]).
During Wednesday’s 8-0 pounding of the NL West fourth-place Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field, Pages went 1-for-5, with a mammoth 429-foot two-run home run to left center field in the top of the second inning to give the Dodgers an early 2-0 lead in their eventual 8-0 shutout of the Snakes.
Obviously, the extremely popular Dodgers rookie (probably) won’t play in all 129 of the Dodgers remaining 2024 regular-season games. But if he can somehow maintain his current (and torrid) home run, RBI, and runs scored pace, he would finish the 2024 regular season with 38 home runs, 116 RBIs and 139 runs scored, and would be a strong candidate to become the National League’s 2024 Rookie of the Year.
Although these number may seem unrealistic and far-fetched, it is Andy Pages we’re talking about here.
Play Ball!

DON’T jinx his season by suggesting he wins the ROY just yet.
It looked like Joc would win the 2015 ROY after his excellent first half and All Star appearance. Then he pretty much cratered the 2nd half of the season.
Andy will hopefully continue to produce at a high rate though expecting an All Star appearance for him too is likely too much. But if he DOES get there I really hope he doesn’t participate in the HR Derby. I still kinda feel that contributed to Joc’s fall off the rest of 2015.
Well, I think it is time for Cid to come out of hibernation. I am used to reading a plethora of comments; I guess the season is young. I am going to my first games of the season next week and can’t wait to see Yamamoto in person. Now that the playoff debacle of last season in far away out of our rear view mirror, this new season has a lot of great things. Pages looks good, even great, but I am with Dan, let’s keep it real and not heap too much expectation on the young man. I am still high on Outman, but maybe he needs to get back to AAA and work on a few things. Kind of like Pages, we should keep it real with him, he is obviously a great athlete trying to do what is considered to be the hardest thing in sport; hit a baseball consistently. Mookie, Freddie, Shohei and Will the Thrill are hot out of the gates, it is a long season, but those guys are real pros. How about Miggy Ro and AB showing signs of recovery from an off year last year, just need them, Max, Kike and Teo to be good not necessarily great. I have no idea what is happening with CT3, I hear that he toyed with his swing which has produced horrific results. He has a heavy contract so I guess we just have to ride with him, but everyone that loves the Dodgers loves his hustle and grit, we are all pulling for him! Pitching; 5 stars for Glasnow, and Yamamoto is looking great since the implosion in Korea. All eyes are now on Bueller who before he went down was top 10 in the league. I was so hopeful for Bobby Miller, his return will be paramount in the success of the rotation, provided his injury is no too devastating. We all want to see Kershaw do two things; get 3000 k’s and win a world series before he rides off into the sunset toward Cooperstown. Finally the bullpen. Goodness what a find in Evan Phillips, where would we be without him? Really missing the Bazooka, he was absolutely lights out last year. Joe Kelly and Dan Hudson can hopefully avoid any meltdowns and maybe Trenien can provide a boost, is it us or are pitchers all around the league like glass dolls? We have more money on the IL than the Oakland total payroll! I also hope that Roberts can navigate the lefthanded batter matchups; no real lefthanded other than Vesia to go to in the bullpen. It’s great to be back and looking forward to reading all of the blogs for this new season! Let’s Go Dodgers!
Welcome back, Cid!
