Dodgers Future Looking Bright

On Sunday afternoon, the Dodgers announced on social media that they had signed seven top international prospects from Venezuela and six from the Dominican Republic. They are:

Realistically, the chances that all – or even any – of these young men actually donning a Dodgers uniform in a Major League game is ridiculously remote at best, but the next K-Rod or Pedro Martinez has to come from somewhere, right?

Among the 13 international prospects signed by the Dodgers on Sunday was 17-year-old Dominican outfielder Arnaldo Lantigua, who is ranked 23rd on MLB.com’s Top-50 International Prospects list. (Baseball America)

But arguably the biggest advantage to the signing of these young men is that it gives Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman 13 potential bargaining chips to pull off future significant trades of the likes that he is famous for, and how can you not love that?

But until such time, welcome to the Dodgers family, men!
