Around this time last year, Las Vegas oddsmakers had the Dodgers as strong favorites to win the 2021 World Series. In fact, they had them as favorites to win their second consecutive World Championship in as many seasons heading into the 2021 National League Championship – and we all know how that worked out.
Well, guess what?
Yep. According to VegasInsider.com, as of 9:45 a.m. PT on November 3, 2021, the Dodgers are very early 500 to 1 favorites to win their second World Series title in three years.
While we all learned at a very young age that ”A fool and his money are soon parted,” and all that, the thing to keep in mind before laying your hard-earned cash down on our beloved Boys in Blue is that they still have twelve free agents to deal with in the coming days, weeks, and months, including guys named Clayton Kershaw, Corey Seager, Kenley Jansen, Max Scherzer, Chris Taylor, and Albert Pujols, among others.
In other words, the landscape of Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman‘s and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts‘ 2022 team is still very much unknown.
Wager wisely, my friends.
