Dodgers Recall White, Place Pollock on 10-Day IL

The Dodgers have recalled right-handed pitcher Mitch White and placed outfielder AJ Pollock on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

White, 26, returns for his eighth stint with the team after tossing 6.0 scoreless innings on Friday in Low-A Rancho Cucamonga. On the season, he is 1-2 with a 3.49 ERA (15 ER/38.2 IP) and 41 strikeouts in 18 games for the Dodgers. He has spent part of the season with Low-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going a combined 3-0 with a 2.02 ERA (8 ER/35.2 IP) and 42 strikeouts in 10 games. The former second-rounder out of Santa Clara University is 2-2 with a 3.24 ERA (15 ER/41.2 IP) in 20 career MLB games.

This is White’s eighth call-up to the Dodgers … this season.

Pollock, 33, has appeared in 107 games, batting .297 (105-for-354) with 16 homers and 58 RBI for the Dodgers. The former Notre Dame standout is in his third season with the Dodgers and has amassed 47 homers and 137 RBI with a .281/.335/.507 slash line. In his 10 Major League seasons, the 2015 All-Star is a combined .281 (881-for-3135) with 121 homers and 403 RBI. He was originally drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first round (17th overall) of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
