RE-SIGN TEOSCAR HERNÁNDEZ!

No more beating around the bush! RE-SIGN TEOSCAR HERNÁNDEZ!

What’s the hold up? He checks every box any team could want from a right-handed power-hitting outfielder who drives in big runs in high-leverage game situations and his leadership intangibles are off the charts. Point to his statistically below-average defense and I will point out his defensive plays that saved games – including World Series games.

Those who question Teoscar’s defensive skills might want to take a closer look.
(Fox Sports)

Teoscar has openly said that he wants to be a Dodger. Dodgers fans want Teo to be a Dodger, as does Field Manager Dave Roberts. And, according to numerous reports, Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman wants him to be a Dodger.

Do we need to remind Friedman of his own words?

“If you’re always rational about every free agent, you will finish third on every free agent.”
(Jon SooHoo)

If the Dodgers are serious about moving Gold Glove (and future Hall of Fame) right fielder Mookie Betts to shortstop (or preferably second base), this is not the time to nitpick and quibble in contract negotiations. Sit down with Teoscar and his agent (Rafa Nieves) and hammer out a deal that works for both sides.

Outfielders who possess the equivalent baseball talent and clubhouse intangibles as Teoscar are not available through this year’s free agency. And, it is extremely unlikely that any team will trade such a player to the Dodgers unless they are literally overwhelmed by an offer.

Get the deal done! RE-SIGN TEOSCAR HERNÁNDEZ!

Play Ball!

  1. Vladdy says:

Teoscar just signed with the Blue Jays for $70 million.

  2. Israel says:

Yes! Sign him. He’s not just a great teammate but also incredibly clutch. I truly believe that grand slam in the game in San Diego when they looked like they were done kept the Dodgers spirit alive!

  3. Rita Napoli says:

You need to re sign Teosc he is the best outfield for your team. No defer for him

  4. DodgerSteve says:

With the money given to Ohtani, Yamamoto, Glasnow and what you were considering giving to Soto, this is just silly! Resign Teo! Stop all this posturing and get it done!!

  5. OhioDodger says:

    C’mon AF, Git’er done.

  6. John Keller says:

    Re-sign Teoscar Hernandez!
Don’t mess with the lineup the won the World Series! Teoscar was integral to the Dodgers success! He’s worth every penny he’s asking for. Don’t blow it Friedman!

  7. Teo will be a Dodger.
Hopefully soon. Wrap up a championship team.

    • Jesse Pearce says:

      I hope you’re right, but…

If I’m the Red Sox I would over pay to put Teo in the middle of my lineup. Ditto Seattle and Toronto

  8. Wayne Riddle says:

I can’t see what the holdup is. The funny thing is, the 40-man roster only has ten position players on it excluding Barnes and Smith that are shoe-ins. We are short a player. It seems it would be thirteen pitchers and thirteen position players. This includes Shohei as a position player. Maybe things are being ironed out and the sportswriters just don’t know much right now. Friedman keeps things close to the vest more than most GMs.

    • Jesse Pearce says:

excellent point about Friedman keeping things close the the vest. 99.9% of the time there are no leaks from the Dodgers (unless a well timed “leak” works to their benefit)

  9. Please please sign both Hernandez s please you can’t break this band of brothers !

  10. Tim Prestage says:

Stop the foolish posturing…sign Teo immediately! This guy is the essence of everything we want in a Dodger player, and if you really care about your fans, you will do for him what he did for us…gave us exactly what we wanted! Finish this easy task NOW!

  11. CM says:

The Dodgers need to get younger fellows on the field. Could be the reason. Teo is the bomb! He is
a righteous human. That continual smile. Give him 75 for three years. What? Are the Dodgers overdrawn?
Outman! I want Outman to ‘get it’. He’s like a young Cody.(?)

  12. Frank A says:

Not signing Teo will mean Dodgers WILL NOT repeat as World Series champs. Simple as that

    • Jesse Pearce says:

As important as Teoscar was to the Dodgers in 2024, I believe they can win the World Series in 2025 without him. The Dodgers may have to part with some good prospects, but they can replace Teoscar’s offense — and perhaps improve the defense – through a trade. I am concerned with the potential loss of Teoscar’s leadership qualities but Mookie, Freddie, Miguel, Max, and Will have strong leadership qualities too.
