On Thursday afternoon, MLB Trade Rumors posted the news (and link) on social media that was almost what Dodger fans have been waiting for … almost.
The news that Dodger fans have been – and still are – actually waiting for is that the Dodgers have re-signed outfielder Teoscar Hernández, but at least it’s a step in that direction.
The extremely popular 32-year-old Cotui, Dominican Republic native is coming off a one-year $23.5 million contract that he signed with the Dodgers on January 12, 2024.
In the 154 regular-season games that Teo appeared in with the Dodgers in 2024, he slashed an excellent .272 / .339 / .501 / .840, with 84 runs scored, 99 RBIs, 33 home runs, 32 doubles, and two triples. He also stole 12 bases in 15 tries.
Hernández followed that up by going 15-for-60 (.250) in the 16 post season games he appeared in, with one double, eight runs scored, 12 RBIs, and a huge two-run home run in Game-2 of the World Series to propel the Dodgers to a 4-2 win over the New York Yankees in front of a very loud sold out Dodger Stadium crowd of 52,725.
Pull the trigger on this one, Andrew … We’re waiting.
Play Ball!

Sign that man asap!
Sign teo Andrew it’s a no brainer he has done everything the dodgers have asked him to do but so much more he gets the other players excited about hitting home run so they get there sunflower seeds bath.
Please sign Teoscar. He’s not only an awesome player, but he’s a fan favorite, and a players favorite. This man has a smile on his face , whether he’s smacking HR’S or in a slump. Great for Morale.
Teoscar, down the stretch when players were going down left and right, was consistent, positive and overall amazing.
Resign this man!
And have Andy Pages be the starting Right Fielder.
