This is what the National League West Division champion Los Angeles Dodgers, the team considered by many to be the best in the game, did in their embarrassing 12-6 loss to the NL East Division champion New York Mets in Game-5 of the 2024 National League Championship Series at Citi Field on Friday evening.
The highlight from Friday’s disaster were the two home runs hit by 23-year-old Dodgers rookie outfielder Andy Pages, who drove in four of those six Dodgers runs.
The silver lining to this otherwise dark cloud is that Game-6 of the best-of-seven series will be played at Dodger Stadium on Sunday at 5:08 PM PDT, so there’s that.

Even with those poor offensive numbers, the Dodgers would be preparing for the World Series instead of NLCS game 6 if Flaherty had done his job instead of reverting back to his 2022 and 2023 pitching performances. He picked a bad day to be bad.
Agreed. How does Flaherty go from 95 mph on his fastball in Game 1 to 92 mph in Game 2? Hell, he should’ve been so jacked up and the adrenaline should’ve been pumping so hard you’d think his fastball would’ve INCREASED to around 97 or so. Unbelievable.
