At risk of redundancy, the soon-to-be (on July 5) 30-year-old Oshu, Japan native is our generation’s Babe Ruth … perhaps even better. (Sorry, Babe). And the fact that he is a Dodger makes it even better. (Sorry Angels).

As he has now done five times as the Dodgers’ leadoff hitter, Ohtani led off Tuesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field with a home run, his National League-leading 24th of the season.
