Well, they did it again.
The National League West first place Los Angeles Dodgers had their lunches handed to them – again – on Saturday afternoon/evening in front of a sold out Great American Ball Park crowd of 41,880, a good many of whom were sporting Dodger Blue, and did this – again – in their embarrassing 3-1 loss to the National League Central last place Cincinnati Reds:
That lone Dodgers run came it the top of the second inning on a no-out bases-loaded 4-6-3 double play off the bat of Dodgers right fielder Jason Heyward.
That’s it. That was the sum and total of the Dodgers offenseless offense, this despite a fourth-inning lead off double to center field by Dodgers first base Freddie Freeman, who was left standing on second base, and a sixth-inning one-out triple to right field by Dodgers international superstar designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, who was left standing on third base.
On the bright side, because this was the Fox Saturday Game of the Week and not carried on SportsNet LA, we were spared another postgame excuse by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, so there’s that.
But regardless, MAKE IT STOP!!!
Play Ball!

Dodgers are in collective offensive funk right now. Some things need to change. Will help when Muncy comes back. The pitching aside from Ramirez was adequate but not great.
