ThinkBlueLA.com is honored and pleased to announce that lifelong Dodger fan Trevor Jackson (@trevorjackson11) has joined our staff of passionate and talented writers.
Trevor is a 29-year-old Dodger die-hard currently living in Austin, Texas. As a fanatic of all sports, baseball has always been a passion of Trevor’s, and he watches as much of MLB as possible.
Like so many of us, Trevor was born and raised to Bleed Blue, taking after his father Tom Jackson (@TomJacksonPR), who shared his fandom with him at an early age. Growing up in the Chicago area, Dodger fans who wore the Blue stood out in public when surrounded by White Sox and Cubs fans.
As a child, Trevor and his father would get to games as much as possible when the Dodgers visited the Midwest, mainly at Wrigley, with occasional road trips to St. Louis, Minnesota, Milwaukee, and more. Growing up, Trevor was amazed by the number of Dodger fans who traveled to support the Blue in opposing ballparks. Witnessing Dodger fans cheer from around the country made Trevor gravitate more as a fan and filled his desire to be a part of this unique and loyal community.
Some of Trevor’s earliest Dodger memories are from the early 2000s, filled with lazy summer afternoons and evenings, watching and listening to Vin Scully with his dad and younger brother. Trevor soon learned that watching Dodger baseball was his free pass to staying up later during the week.
As years went by, Trevor couldn’t miss a game. He found a deep love for baseball and, specifically, our Dodgers. Teams with Shawn Green, Eric Gagné, César Izturis, Kaz Ishii, and countless more solidified that love. Naturally, his all-time favorite Dodger is Clayton Kershaw. Having had the opportunity to follow his Hall of Fame career has been a real treat over the years, and like all of you, is ecstatic that he is back with the club this year.
Trevor looks forward to contributing here as he follows our beloved Boys in Blue.
Here’s to a great rest of Spring and a memorable season of Dodger baseball.
