Quick – What is your fondest memory when you were 18 years old?
Chances are it involved something that happened when you were in high school or possibly involved someone you had a crush on at the time.
Chances are even greater that it did not involve hitting a home run in a Major League Baseball game – unless your name happens to be Josue De Paula, who was born on May 24, 2005 in, of all places, Brooklyn, New York.
Although it was only ‘a meaningless Spring Training game,’ the 6′-3″/185-pound left-handed hitting and throwing Dodgers Minor League outfielder, who has yet to have an at-bat above the Single-A level, had what will probably forever be the fondest memory of his young 18-year-old life when, in his thus far only Major League Spring Training at-bat, crushed a two-run home run into the Dodgers bullpen in (very) deep left field at Camelback Ranch in the Dodgers 8-5 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon.
Well done, young man.
