It took a while, exactly one week to the day to be exact, but former current Dodger Kiké Hernández had a huge nigh against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday in front of a Dodger Stadium crowd of 44,207.
All the soon-to-be (on August 24) 32-year-old San Juan, Puerto Rico native and Houston Astros sixth round draft pick in 2009 out of the American Military Academy did was hit a bases loaded/bases clearing double in the bottom of the fourth inning to give his old new team a then 5-0 lead in the Dodgers eventual 7-3 win over the A’s.
On the other side of the ball, the Dodgers left fielder made a spectacular running catch in foul territory in the top half of the sixth inning, after which he crashed into the short (and thankfully padded) wall.
Well done, Kiké!
Play Ball!

Then he moves to second base and ranges far to his left for ground ball that is headed to RF — routine out for Kiké
Not gonna lie, I was not on the Kiké bandwagon the first time around, but if Tuesday night is an example of what’s to come, I will be at the front of his fan line.
Oh, Kiké would occasionally drive me nuts with his desire to pull every pitch for a home run to left field.
So Happy to see Keke getting it done!! I am a Boston Redsox Fan however I surely became a Big fan of the new Doger outfielder while he was in Boston regardless of how it ended..hey you can only get so much out of 1 guy..and I think the Sox pushed that a bit trying to turn him into a shortstop..so go Keke we ccx are ccx rooting for you!! Mookie too!!!
We certainly improved against left-handers with Kiki and Rosario. Would love to see JDM back for SD and AZ series coming up.
