It never fails. Every time Dodgers fans are ready to throw in the towel on 26-year-old Dodgers outfielder James Outman for his current team-leading 88 strikeouts (which always seem to happen at the absolute worst possible time), he comes up with yet another career night at the plate, causing Dodgers fans put the popular Redwood City, CA native and Dodgers seventh round draft pick in 2018 out of Cal State Sacramento back atop their favorite Dodgers list.
He did it again on Friday night against the Dodgers’ most hated team not named the Giants – the Houston Astros – when he went 3-for-4 at the plate (all singles), had a huge stolen base, and scored two of the Dodgers three runs in their 3-2 win over ‘The Cheating Ones’ in front of a (loud) Dodger Stadium crowd of 49,795.
“I felt like it’s been turning around for a couple weeks, I just haven’t had the results I wanted, but I’ve been feeling a lot better,” Outman told SportsNet LA’s Kirsten Watson postgame when asked if he feels like things are finally turning around for him at the plate.
Whatever it is, James, keep it turning!
Play Ball!

Whatever it is, give some of it to Vargas.
I’m good with that.
