Less than 48 hours after receiving horrible news out of Camelback Ranch on Monday afternoon, Dodgers fans received some good news – great news, in fact – on Wednesday evening.
That horrible news was, of course, that 25-year-old Dodgers shortstop Gavin Lux was lost for the entire 2023 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee during Monday’s Spring Training game against the San Diego Padres at Peoria Stadium – an injury that will require reconstructive surgery in the coming days.
The great news on Wednesday is that 28-year-old Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler, who underwent his second Tommy John surgery this past August, began throwing again on what will be a lengthy road to recovery.
On Wednesday evening, Karen Walker, Buehler’s mom, posted this very encouraging video clip on Twitter:
As Karen Walker notes: “And so it begins.”
