Although there has been no official confirmation from the team yet, it was being widely reported on social media (Twitter) on Thursday evening that 34-year-old future Hall of Fame left-hander Clayton Kershaw was “nearing” a one-year deal to return to the Dodgers for a 16th season in 2023.
A short while later, LA Times Dodgers beat writer Mike DiGiovanna posted this:
“Things just feel more right in the world when Kershaw is wearing a Dodgers uniform,” Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman told reporters during the General Managers Meetings in Las Vegas earlier this week. “That’s just how it lands with us, but we couldn’t respect more him and Ellen going through this process.”
Sleep well, Dodgers fans!
Play Ball!
