Enough already!
Negotiations between Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association reached an all-time low on Thursday and were reminiscent of a playground scuffle between two elementary school children.

Within minutes, the MLB Players Association released this statement on Twitter:

Not only are Spring Training games now delayed “until no earlier than Saturday, March 5,” unless the two sides set their egos aside and sit down and negotiate in good faith, the scheduled March 31 Opening Day of the 2022 regular season is also now very much at risk of being delayed.
Come on, guys. Instead of trying to make the other side look like the bad guy (while losing loyal baseball fans by the droves), how about putting down your dukes and sitting down at the table for some serious good-faith negotiating?
Play Ball!

First time ever I’ve not been excited about ST. My tickets start on March 7. Ready to cancel my hotel any day now. Wonder what the players actually think about their Union.
Excellent point, Linda, which begs the question on the other side of the coin: Wonder what the owners actually think about the guy representing them?
Sorry to hear about your lost Spring Training plans. I know how much that means to you and Jim.
