What should come as a surprise to no one, the Dodgers topped all of baseball in attendance during the 2021 season – this following their 2020 World Championship season – by a lot.
“What was really great was we had almost three million people again, and we didn’t even have full stadiums until June,” Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten told SportsNet LA’s Kirsten Watson on Wednesday afternoon. “We had about half a million more fans than any other team. It’s such a great statement about what we mean to the city and what the city means to us, because without their support, we couldn’t have the revenues to keep building this team and the facility that we have. So the relationship which has been great for sixty years continues and is going strong.”
In the 48 games played at Dodger Stadium once COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, the team drew more than 50,000 fans at 16 of them.
