Masks Now Required at Dodger Stadium Regardless of Vaccination Status

As a surprise to absolutely no one, with COVID-19 cases – and deaths – increasing at an alarming rate in Los Angeles County (and worldwide), the LA County Department of Public Health has issued an emergency order mandating that face masks shall be worn “At outdoor Mega Events (events with over 10,000 attendees like concerts, sports games, and parades) (effective 8/19 11:59 pm),” regardless of their vaccination status. This, of course, includes Dodger Stadium.

Beginning Friday, everyone entering Dodger Stadium will be required to wear a face mask.

Here is the order verbatim:

This from the Dodgers:

“In accordance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health order, all individuals ages two and older, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask or an appropriate face covering at all times at Dodger Stadium, except when actively eating or drinking in their ticketed seat or when seated at a table.

“As defined by the LACDPH order, actively eating or drinking is the limited time during which the mask can be removed briefly to eat or drink, after which it must be immediately put back on.”

On Thursday, the Health Department reported (via Twitter) that there were 3,239 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in LA County, with 35 newly confirmed related deaths.

Although LADPH does not include the number of unvaccinated persons in their daily reports, numerous sources, including medical professionals, have gone on record saying that nearly all of the newly reported cases and deaths are of those who, for whatever their reasons, have elected not to receive one of the three proven – and safe – vaccinations available.

Needless to say, those who, for whatever their reasons within this category who do not want to wear a mask, will now have to watch or listen to games at Dodger Stadium on television and radio.

…thankfully.

if this is remotely true, why are vaccinated people continuing to get and give the virus and if we are not then why the masks?
