The Dodgers have claimed right-handed pitcher Ashton Goudeau off waivers from the San Francisco Giants.
Goudeau, 28, made his Major League debut last season with the Colorado Rockies, going 0-0 with a 7.56 ERA (7 ER/8.1 IP) and two strikeouts in four games. In eight minor league seasons, he is a combined 29-48 with a 4.81 ERA (301 ER/563.2 IP) and 499 strikeouts. He was originally drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 27th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Maple Woods Community College.
Goudeau made one relief appearance against the Dodgers in 2020, allowing three runs on three hits, with no strikeouts and two walks in one inning pitched. Two of those three hits were home runs, accounting for his lofty 27.00 ERA against them.

Another whoopdeedoo moment. Just want to see who they remove from the roster to take on this piece of flotsam.
Head scratcher, nothing in his background to indicate that he is a ML caliber pitcher. Joe Kelly to the 60-day IL retroactively, or Graterol to the Covid-IL retroactively would create a spot on roster.
Something must be up with Gratarol this doesn’t make any sense to me we”ll see
Graterol made 15 pitches off the DS mound today. He faced Raley, Beaty, and Raley again. Roberts said they’ll see how he feels tonight and tomorrow before deciding what to do. He will, however, be returning to the alternate training site at CBR.
I really do not understand this move.
Friedman must have owed Zaidi a favor
I no longer question Friedman’s moves.
