The Dodgers have placed 29-year-old left-hander Alex Wood on the 10-day injured list with shoulder inflammation and have recalled 26-year-old right-hander Josh Sborz, the Dodgers announced on Tuesday.
Wood appeared to be off a bit in his 2020 debut on Saturday, allowing three runs in his three innings of work against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium. His next scheduled start was to be on Friday at Chase Field in Arizona.
Sborz, a reliever, was among those on the Dodgers’ 60-man Player Pool and had been working out at the team’s alternate training site at USC.
The Dodgers now have a 12-man bullpen, and a replacement for Wood in their starting rotation has yet to be announced. Right-handers Dennis Santana, Tony Gonsolin, and Josiah Gray are strong candidates to fill the spot – at least temporarily.
The Dodgers begin a nine-game road trip tonight against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.

Another injury for Wood, how bad and how long? I think Wood has pitched his last game for the Dodgers.
