Let’s face it, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, good about the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic that continues to threaten the entire human race – NOTHING.
However, and in no way is this intended to diminish the magnitude of this horrific and extremely contagious disease, when was the last time you heard anything … anything about the Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal or even about MLB commissioner Rob Manfred’s complete ineptitude in handling it since the media was banned from Spring Training clubhouses way back on March 9?
If Astros Spring Training games were any indication of what was to come in the now delayed 2020 regular season, they were in for a rough ride, especially on the road.
And we won’t even get into MLB’s Boston Red Sox cheating investigation report, which was “expected early next month” back on February 25 but still hasn’t been released – and probably won’t be anytime soon.
Obviously, baseball, football, basketball, hockey – and everything else in life – take a very distant back seat to the coronavirus pandemic, which demands the cooperation of every human being on the planet. But as extremely popular LA Dodgers and LA Kings organist Dieter Ruehle tweeted out on an unusually cold Wednesday morning in Southern California:
…unless you are the Astros, of course.
Play Ball!

I remember just before we started learning about the Coronavirus illnesses the last big thing I was wondering about was what was happening with the Red Sox.
