The Dodgers have placed right-hander Ross Stripling on the 10-day injured list with right biceps tendinitis (retroactive to July 25) and have recalled right-hander Jaime Schultz from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Stripling left Wednesday night’s game against the Angels of Anaheim in the bottom of the fifth inning for what was thought to be neck discomfort. The 29-year-old former Texas A&M Aggie has appeared in 26 games (12 starts) for the Dodgers this year, recording a 4-4 mark with a 3.64 ERA with 76 strikeouts. In his four seasons with the Dodgers, he is 20-24 with a 3.55 ERA and 360 strikeouts.
Schultz returns for his second stint with the Major League Dodgers. In his three games this season, the 28-year-old Albany, NY native tossed three scoreless frames with two walks and three strikeouts. In 36 games with the OKC Dodgers, he posted a 1-2 record with a 5.66 ERA and 53 strikeouts. Since June 1, he is 1-0 record with a 3.72 ERA 30 strikeouts.

Tell Stripling to go home for the rest of the year.
Very skeptical .Stripling goes on the IL at an opportune time because he didn’t want to pitch at Coors Field. Also if he’s on the IL at the one and only trading deadline,he knows teams are not likely to trade for him. Not to be trusted. They have to move him the offseason.
