Dodgers Activate Seager from IL, Option Beaty to OKC

The Dodgers have activated infielder Corey Seager from the 10-day injured list and optioned utility infielder / outfielder Matt Beaty to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Seager has been on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain since June 13. Prior to going on the injured list, he was batting .278 (66-for-237) with eight homers and 38 RBI in 66 games for the Dodgers. The North Carolina native made three rehab appearances with Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga, batting .333 (2-for-6) with one RBI.

Beaty has appeared in 37 games in three different stints with the Dodgers. He is batting .278 (30-for-108) with two homers and 17 RBI with Los Angeles. In five minor league seasons with Dodgers, he has slashed .308/.367/.448 with 34 homers and 215 RBI.
