Dodgers offer fans opportunity to sit in Gibson home run seat

Registration open now through March 20 for opportunity to purchase seats, which include commemorative t-shirt and donation to Kirk Gibson Foundation

Fans will once again have the opportunity to support the Kirk Gibson Foundation and Parkinson’s Research while reliving one of the most dramatic moments in baseball history by sitting in the famous “Kirk Gibson seat” in the Right Field Pavilion at Dodger Stadium.

Through March 20, fans can register at Dodgers.com/Gibson for the opportunity to purchase tickets located in the area where Gibson’s historic walk-off home run landed during Game 1 of the 1988 World Series – Section 302, Row D, Seat 1 in the Right Field Pavilion – which is painted blue, and adorned with Gibson’s painted signature and a historical marker.

Tickets for the Kirk Gibson seat and a companion seat must be purchased as a pair, and include two commemorative t-shirts as well as food and drink in the Coca-Cola Right Field Pavilion. The pair of tickets cost $300, which includes a $200 donation to the Kirk Gibson Foundation to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s Research. The Dodgers will also donate remaining proceeds from the sale to the Kirk Gibson Foundation.

The Dodgers debuted the Kirk Gibson seat program in 2018, the 30th anniversary of the 1988 World Series championship, and the seats sold out for the season. More information on the Kirk Gibson Foundation can be found at KirkGibsonFoundation.org.
