On Tuesday afternoon, the Dodgers announced that 22 of their minor leaguers have received non-roster invitations to 2018 major league spring training camp.

Of the 22, nine are pitchers and three are catchers, and will report to the Dodgers spring training facility at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday, February 13, with the other Dodgers pitchers and catchers:

Pitchers:

• RHP Joe Broussard
• RHP Daniel Corcino
• RHP C.C. Lee
• RHP Mark Lowe
• LHP Brian Moran
• RHP Zach Neal
• RHP Yaisel Sierra
• LHP/RHP Pat Venditte

Catchers:

• Keibert Ruiz
• Will Smith
• Shawn Zarraga

Six infielders and four outfielders make up the remainder of the 22 NRIs and will report to camp on Sunday, February 18, when the rest of the Dodgers position players are scheduled to report:

Infielders:

• Matt Beaty
• Drew Jackson
• Max Muncy
• Jake Peter
• Edwin Rios
• Donovan Solano

Outfielders:

• Yusniel Diaz
• DJ Peters
• Henry Ramos
• Travis Taijeron

Dodger fans planning to travel to Camelback Ranch for spring training might want to pay extra attention to outfield prospect DJ Peters, who was selected by the Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Western Nevada College in Carson City, Nevada. The 6′-6″ / 225-pound outfielder was recently named as the 2017 California League Most Valuable Player.

“Being named Cal League MVP, Rookie of the Year and Post Season All-Star are things that every player dreams of,” Peters told ThinkBlue LA. “It’s a great feeling knowing that all of my hard work, dedication to the game, my team and my organization hasn’t gone unnoticed by the League.”

The Glendora, California native and lifelong Dodger posted an impressive .276 / .372 / .515 slash-line for the Dodgers Advanced Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2017, good enough to earn an invitation to the prestigious Arizona Fall League. He also spent time working out at Dodger Stadium this winter with several other Dodgers players in preparation for the upcoming spring.
