Under the category of ‘duh,’ the Dodgers announced on Wednesday afternoon that they are adding a Cody Bellinger bobblehead to their already long list of great promotional stadium giveaway items this season.

Cody Bellinger Bobblehead Night will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, when the Dodgers host the Colorado Rockies for the second game of a four-game series that will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the fierce National League West race.

Heading into play on Wednesday evening, Bellinger leads the National League with his 22 home runs, which came after spotting the league three weeks prior to his April 25 call-up from the Triple-A Oklahoma City. With the OKC Dodgers, Bellinger was only hitting .343 with five home runs and 15 RBIs in his 18 games and 67 at-bats. Since joining the major league club, he has had a total of 196 at-bats in which and in addition to his 22 home runs, he has also driven in a team-high (that’s not a typo) 49 runs. In fact, his 22 home runs in 196 at-bats equates to a home run every 8.91 at-bats.

If this doesn’t justify your own bobblehead, nothing does.
