With the 2016 season at the halfway mark, what letter grade would you give to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts?

I think he’s done a very good job in keeping the Dodgers in contention. They have one of the best records (I believe the 4th best) in the NL.
At the present time, although it’s early yet, they are leading the Wild Card standings.
The injury plague hasn’t helped Roberts’ case. Given the circumstances of his managerial debut thus far, I’m giving Dave a solid B.
Time will tell, but I think he’s a keeper so far.
It’s hard to grade Doc when we haven’t seen him really running the team. Friedman needs to back off and let him manage.
I think we have a real winner.
From Ron’s latest thread: “So why, then, did Roberts pull Norris after six innings with the Dodgers clinging to a precarious 1-0 lead?
“I made the decision that 88 pitches was good,” Roberts said. “We had a ‘pen that was in good standing and I wanted him to finish with a really good taste in his mouth.”
Big emphasis on, “I made the decision”. Why do you believe Friedman is doing the managing? I can see FAZ providing statistical info, etc., but, managing? I don’t buy it.
Do you buy that a guy who wears #30 in honor of Maury Wills doesn’t like small ball?
Friedman, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to think much of it. He has specifically commented that base stealing in overrated.
I agree, Roberts probably loves small ball? Heck, he made one of the biggest steals in baseball history. The biggest from a Red Sox point of view. I also agree FAZ may not value it as much. I have noticed, base stealing doesn’t seem to add much to the OWAR calculation. I do believe FAZ calls the shots on roster construction.
I was merely stating, I disagree with those who say, FAZ is on the phone telling Roberts the lineup, when to pull pitchers (although maybe pitch counts are discussed before games), when to run, who to pinch hit, etc. I believe Roberts calls all the shots during games.
