Two of the most storied programs in college baseball will once again meet at Chavez Ravine when UCLA takes on USC in the Dodger Stadium Baseball Classic on March 6, 2016, the Dodgers announced today. In the first game of the Sunday doubleheader, the Oklahoma Sooners of the Big 12 Conference will do battle with the SEC’s Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The Oklahoma-Mississippi State game is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. and the USC-UCLA matchup will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $40 for Dugout Club seats, $30 for Baseline Club seats, $20 for Field level VIP, $12 for Field level and $10 for pavilion seats. Tickets for USC and UCLA students and children under 14 are $5 (excluding dugout, baseline and Field VIP) and are available in advance only at the UCLA and USC box offices or at Dodger Stadium on the day of the event. One ticket is good for both games.

An exclusive pre-sale for Dodger season-ticket holders will take place today from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the pre-sale, Field VIP seats will be just $15. The general on-sale will begin immediately after the pre-sale closes.

Parking is $10 and available only at the gate on the day of the event. Both parking and stadium gates will open an hour prior to the first pitch at 10:00 a.m.

UCLA, the number one overall seed in the NCAA baseball tournament a year ago, defeated Mississippi State in the 2013 College World Series finals.  USC is looking to return to the NCAA baseball tournament for the second consecutive season while Oklahoma last made the NCAA baseball tournament in 2013 when they finished the regular season as Big 12 champions.

The UCLA-USC game will be televised by Pac-12 Network.

The event dates to 2010, when Vanderbilt edged Oklahoma State, 7-6, and UCLA defeated USC, 6-1. In 2011, Georgia blanked St. Mary’s, 3-0, and USC shut down UCLA, 2-0. In 2012, Pepperdine topped UC Irvine, 3-2, and UCLA downed USC, 7-2. Due to renovations at Dodger Stadium, the 2013 games were played at UCLA’s Jackie Robinson Stadium, where Notre Dame trimmed Oklahoma, 6-5, in 11 innings, and UCLA beat USC, 6-1. The event did not take place in 2014, but last year USC defeated UCLA, 8-4 and No. 6 TCU upended No. 1 Vanderbilt, 4-2.
