   I often told people that I remembered Pearl Harbor. We lived in a project. there was noise in the hall. My father went out to check what it was and then came back in to turn on the radio. We feared the Japs were coming to bomb us too.
   That’s what I remember.
   9/11 really gave me something to remember.
