ThinkBlueLA is once again having its popular first spring training home run contest. Simply correctly guess the Dodger player who you think will hit the first home run of spring training 2015.
The winner will receive a new still-in-the-box Vin Scully 65th Anniversary Commemorative Microphone – one of the most popular stadium giveaway items of 2014.
Entries can be submitted in the comments section below or by way of a Twitter reply to the link to this post that includes your selection. In the event of multiple guesses for the correct player, a random drawing from among those who selected the correct player will determine the winner.
Entries will be accepted until the first pitch of the first spring training game set for Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1:05 pm MT (12:05 pm PT) when the Dodgers host the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch.
In the event that no one selected the Dodger player who hits the first spring training home run, the person who selected the Dodger player who hits the second home run of spring training will be the winner – and so on.
Keep in mind that it isn’t always one of the big guns who hits the first home run. In 2013 it was former Dodgers third baseman Luis Cruz who collected the first home run in the second game of the spring and last season it was Juan Uribe with the first dinger, also in the second spring training game.
Only one guess per person is allowed.
Don’t wait – submit your guess right now!
Good Luck!

Congratulations to @therealJohnBo for winning the 2015 ThinkBlueLA.com Spring Training Home Run contest. Johnny correctly picked Yasmani Grandal to hit the first Dodger home run of the spring (of the 20 players selected).
Honorable mention goes to @ZoroRivera and OldBrooklynFan who also picked Grandal. A random drawing was held among these three with Johnny Boy’s name being drawn.
