Although there has yet to be an official announcement as to which top prospects have been invited to the Dodgers annual Winter Development Camp, their ‘unofficial’ news source – Twitter – is beginning to spill the beans; and it appears that the list will be an impressive one.
Dodgers 2014 first-round draft pick right-hander Grant Holmes, top right-handed pitching prospect Jose De Leon and 2013 fourth-round draft pick first baseman prospect Cody Bellinger all sent out tweets early this morning indicated that their next stop will be Dodger Stadium:
The annual Winter Development Camp is designed to help prepare minor league players for the major leagues both on and off the field and usually lasts a week. Last year’s camp saw Dodgers pitchers Zach Lee, Pedro Baez, Seth Rosin, Yimi Garcia and Jarret Martin, along with outfielders Joc Pederson, Scott Schebler – among others.
An official announcement on the Dodgers eighth annual Winter Development Camp is expected soon – perhaps later this morning.
