- Kenley Jansen picked up his 31st save of the season.
- The Dodgers won their fourth straight game for the first time this season.
- The Giants lost so the Dodgers lead in the NL West is now 3 games.
And here’s the great news…
Vin Scully announced that he will be returning in 2015 for his record-setting 66th season with the Dodgers.
“It is very difficult to say goodbye,” said Scully. “God willing I will be back next year. Over the years I have been blessed to have so many friends including those that sit in the stands and listen as well as those at home, who listen and watch. It is just too hard to say goodbye to all these friends. Naturally there will come a time, when I will have to say goodbye, but I’ve soul-searched and this is not the time.”
All is well in Dodgertown.

It’s great to see the offense really gelling for a change. The more this happens the better it will be. Especially seeing Kemp doing so well. How about the two RBI by CC? AGon now has one of the highest totals of RBI in the N.L. with 70.
It’s so good to know Scully will be back for another year.
