Photos from ‘Pool-gate’

Like most Dodger fans (and basically anyone with a shred of common sense), I am of the belief that this whole Chase Field swimming pool incident (dubbed ‘Pool-gate’) is nothing more than a bunch of sore losers who are making a big deal about nothing.

Why is it that the national media said little or nothing about a member of the Boston Red Sox kicking a full can of beer that struck a fan in the head causing injury, yet they jump all over a group of Dodger players who were having a little fun by jumping into the Chase Field swimming pool to celebrate clinching the NL West title?

Hey Brandon Belt - This is what great chemistry looks like.

Hey Brandon Belt – This is what great chemistry looks like.

No one got hurt by the Dodgers pool celebration, nothing got damaged by it, it was done when the stadium was almost completely empty – stay for maybe 100 or so Dodger fans who were blessed to witness some very happy and excited young men celebrating a great achievement, with yours truly being one of them and armed with a camera.

The gall of Dbacks owner Ken Kendrick for getting upset about this after he basically ordered the Dodgers not to come back out on the field to celebrate with their fans. No team has ever demanded something this unreasonable. If Kendrick didn’t want the Dodgers celebrating on their field, his team shouldn’t have blown a 6-0 lead. Not only is Kendrick a sore loser, he is a crybaby. And to have Arizona Senator John McCain say anything about this insignificant pool party publicly in what was clearly an attempt to try to garner votes from his obviously sinking political ship was ludicrous and speaks volumes about his mental health. Now I certainly have untold respect for McCain for what he went through and his dedication and loyalty to his constituents, but the senior senator from Arizona missed a perfect opportunity to keep his mouth shut on a total non-issue.

Regardless of the attempts by a bunch of sore losers trying to discredit the Dodgers for their harmless little pool party (which lasted perhaps five minutes), it was original, it was creative and nobody got hurt – except perhaps for some bruised egos to several Dbacks players and their weak-minded owner.

Here are some of the photos that I took of ‘Pool-gate’:

It was celebration time for the Dodgers and they found a good clean way to do it.
