The Dodgers and the Dodgers Dream Foundation will host the eighth annual Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Lot F at Dodger Stadium, which is located just inside the Sunset Gate and across from the Dodger offices.
Dodger infielder Luis Cruz along with Dodger alumni “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Bobby Castillo and Paul Lo Duca will be on hand to help distribute a complimentary turkey, fixings and reusable canvas bags to 600 pre-selected families.
The Dodgers have partnered with Ralphs and Food 4 Less, Los Angeles City Council members Ed P. Reyes and Eric Garcetti, California State Senators Kevin De León and Carol Liu, the Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council (GEPENC), the Echo Park Improvement Association (EPIA) and the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park (CCSEP) for the giveaway. The Council and Senate members, as well as representatives from Ralphs, Food 4 Less, GEPENC, EPIA and CCSEP, will help distribute the turkeys as well.
