The Dodgers have announced the winners of their May Dodger Pride Awards. The Dodger Pride Awards were created in 2008 by General Manager Ned Colletti, and are given on a monthly basis to the players at each level of the club’s minor league system who play the game with a hustling, smart, aggressive style. The players and staff on each respective club vote for the awards. The winners for May are as follows:

Interesting selections. Most would not have guessed Matt Magill would be the pitcher winning the award in Chattanooga. John Ely has been even better in June in his June 3 start.
Oddly enough I could not have recognized Michael Thomas as a pitcher in the Dodger system. Some guys just slip by. He was our 35th pick in 2011.
Landry has been a good lead off hitter for the Quakes. Hopefully his personal issues won’t interfere with his season.
Ralston Cash has had quite a game with the Loons tonight. 6 innings, 1 hit, no runs, 1 walk, 4 K’s 10 ground ball outs. He was selected in the second round in 2010 but missed last season due to an injury.
